What Alok Industries Limited does
Alok Industries is a vertically integrated Indian textile manufacturer operating across two segments. In cotton, it is integrated from spinning through weaving, processing and finished fabrics to bedsheets, towels and garments. In polyester, it runs continuous polymerisation from PTA and MEG into melt, which is converted into polyester chips and then POY, FDY, DTY and PSF. Its customer base spans global retail brands, textile importers, private labels, domestic retailers, and other garment and textile manufacturers and traders. Reliance Industries Limited and JM Financial Asset Reconstruction Company are the company's controlling stakeholders following its 2017-2019 insolvency resolution, and the company transacts with related parties including Reliance Industries (raw materials/job-work) and Reliance Retail (purchase/sale of fabrics and readymade garments); since March 2024 its polyester business has operated on a job-work model.
