What Modipon Ltd. does
Modipon Limited formerly ran a fibre manufacturing unit at Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh, which ceased commercial production in 2007. Since then the company has been in the business of real estate and development of its vacant land adjacent to the former factory, subject to permissions from the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Department. A prior government order enabling this land development was withdrawn, and the company has since been pursuing restoration of that order and applying for a new project on the vacant factory land, with the matter sub judice.
