What Ramco Industries Limited does

Ramco Industries manufactures fibre cement sheets and boards used mainly for roofing and construction, sold under the Hilux, Hicem, Hiden and Greencor brand names from ten factories spread across Tamil Nadu, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Andhra Pradesh. It also spins cotton yarn through its Sri Ramco Spinners unit at Rajapalayam and operates 15 captive wind mills (16.73 MW) that supply renewable power to its plants. Fibre cement products are sold through a dealer network that reaches down to the taluk level across India, and the company has overseas roofing-manufacturing operations in Sri Lanka through two subsidiaries. It is part of the Chennai-based Ramco Group, whose associate companies include The Ramco Cements and Rajapalayam Mills.
