What Timex Group India Limited does
Timex Group India Limited designs, assembles and distributes watches under global brands including Timex and Guess, entering the Indian market in 1988 as part of Timex Group (now Tanager Group B.V.). Watches are assembled from imported movements, cases, dials and other components at the company's Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) plant, which handles over 150 types of movements and multiple watch formats (analog quartz, mechanical, digital, ana-digi and connected). Finished products are sold pan-India through a multi-format retail network spanning multi-brand outlets, large-format stores, defence canteens, exclusive retail and luxury retail counters, plus e-commerce and trade channels. The company also runs a portfolio of premium sub-brands and collaborations (e.g. Signio, Atelier, Giorgio Galli) to address different price and lifestyle segments within the watch category.
