What Elpro Internatio does
Elpro International is a diversified holding and operating company built around three legacy lines: a minority equity stake in life insurer PNB MetLife India Insurance, real-estate development and leasing on its Pimpri Chinchwad (Pune) landholding, and manufacture of high- and low-voltage surge arresters and zinc-oxide discs under a licensed GE technology. It earns from sale/lease of the Pune real estate (residential, commercial office, mall, factory and school space), sale of surge-arrester products to power generation & distribution, railway, telecom, solar and wind energy customers, and investment income from its insurance holding. The company's objects were amended in FY24-25 to also permit trading in commodities (including agri-commodities) and financial instruments/derivatives, and to act as an investment/financial advisor.
