Jindal Poly Investment and Finance Company Limited is a Core Investment Company (CIC) under the RBI's Core Investment Companies (Reserve Bank) Directions, 2016, and is not required to register with the RBI. Its principal activity is holding equity investments in group companies; its performance and revenue depend on the value and performance of these investee companies rather than any trading or manufacturing operations. Outside the group, it may invest only in specified short-term instruments such as money market instruments and money market mutual funds. Its sole associate is Jindal India Powertech Limited (JIPL), in which its equity stake was diluted from 49.93% to 21.12% during FY25 following conversion of JIPL's Optionally Convertible Preference Shares into equity, even though the number of JPIFCL's own shares held remained unchanged.
