What Nelcast Limited does
Nelcast manufactures ductile iron, grey iron and austempered ductile iron castings - precision components such as axle housings, differential carriers, transmission housings and brake discs - supplied to original equipment manufacturers and Tier-1 companies in the commercial vehicle, tractor, off-highway equipment, railway and passenger vehicle industries. It runs three manufacturing plants in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu built around high-pressure moulding lines, casting components from 0.5 kg up to 500 kg. Besides its domestic OEM base, the company exports machined castings to customers in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia.
