Punjab & Sind Bank is a government-owned scheduled commercial bank that takes deposits and extends loans to retail, agriculture, MSME and corporate customers across India. It earns through interest on advances and investments plus fee income from trade finance, ATM transactions, cross-selling of third-party products and other banking services. The bank organises its operations through zonal offices and a network of branches, ATMs and Business Correspondents, alongside dedicated treasury operations for its investment book. It also lends under RBI-mandated priority-sector categories such as agriculture and small/marginal farmers.
