Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar) designs and manufactures highly engineered, mission-critical driveline and motor components — differential gears and assemblies, starter motors, BEV traction motors and integrated motor controllers, and automotive radar/in-cabin sensors — supplied to passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, tractor, off-highway and two/three-wheeler OEMs worldwide. It earns through long-term supply programs won against a multi-year order book, with revenue realised as awarded programs enter serial production and ramp up. Following the acquisition of the Railway Business from Escorts, it also supplies brake systems, couplers, suspension systems, automatic plug doors, HVAC systems and electric control panels to the railway rolling-stock industry. It also holds a majority stake in NOVELIC, a radar and sensor technology company.
