Uno Minda Q1 FY27
What went well
- Consolidated revenue from operations grew 26% YoY to INR 5,557 crores in Q1 FY27, driven by broad-based growth across core product offerings and EV systems.
- PAT attributable to shareholders increased 24% YoY to INR 296 crores compared to normalized PAT of INR 239 crores in Q1 FY26.
- The Green Mobility vertical achieved robust 78% YoY revenue growth, reaching INR 542 crores and contributing 10% to total consolidated revenues.
What to watch
- EBITDA margins were 10.3%, impacted by commodity and gas price inflation, leading to approximately 40 basis points of mathematical margin dilution.
- Minimum wage increases across multiple manufacturing states contributed to higher employee costs.
What Uno Minda does
Uno Minda Limited designs and manufactures auto components and systems for two-wheeler, three-wheeler, four-wheeler and commercial-vehicle OEMs, with a powertrain-agnostic (ICE and EV) product portfolio spanning switches, lighting, die-castings (including alloy wheels), seating, acoustics and green-mobility/EV systems. It earns primarily by supplying OEMs directly (original-equipment channel), supplemented by exports and a replacement-parts (aftermarket) channel, and operates through several joint ventures and technical-licence partnerships with global auto-technology companies for localisation and technology transfer. Its in-house CREAT engineering hub and other R&D centres develop and localise products such as electric drive units, dedicated hybrid transmissions, CNG/hydrogen systems and infotainment platforms for customers in India and abroad.
