What Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited does
Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited (AWHCL) is an integrated municipal solid waste (MSW) management company that provides door-to-door collection, mechanised street sweeping, transportation, waste processing (segregation, composting, RDF production, bio-mining, C&D waste processing) and waste-to-energy (WtE) power generation under long-term contracts with municipal corporations across India. Revenue is earned mainly from Collection & Transportation and Processing contracts structured as fixed per-tonne/trip/hectare fees with escalation clauses (DBOOT/concession-based for several projects), supplemented by sale of RDF, compost, recyclables and WtE power, plus non-municipal B2B/B2C hygiene services offered through its Click2Clean platform. It operates one of Asia's largest single-location integrated waste-processing and bio-reactor landfill sites at Kanjurmarg, Mumbai, alongside waste-to-energy plants at Pimpri-Chinchwad and in Andhra Pradesh.
