What J & K Bank does

Jammu and Kashmir Bank is a private-sector scheduled commercial bank that takes deposits and extends loans through a branch and ATM network concentrated in the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, with a growing presence across the rest of India. It is the RBI-designated Agency Bank for government banking business in J&K and Ladakh and the sole private-sector bank acting as Convenor Bank for the state/UT-level bankers' committees (UTLBC/SLBC) in the region. The Bank also sponsors Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank, a regional rural bank, and distributes life and general insurance products under bancassurance tie-ups. Its wholly owned subsidiary, JKB Financial Services Limited, extends its financial-services footprint beyond core banking.
