Karur Vysya Bank Limited (KVB) is a commercial bank headquartered in Karur, Tamil Nadu, incorporated in 1916. It earns primarily by taking retail and bulk deposits (current, savings and term deposits) and deploying them as loans across four reported advance verticals under a RAM (Retail-Agriculture-MSME)-led growth strategy, alongside a corporate lending book. Retail lending covers housing, jewel, mortgage/loan-against-property, vehicle, personal, education and BNPL consumer-credit products, while commercial lending covers trade, NBFC and SME financing routed through a dedicated relationship-manager (RM) channel for small-ticket MSME loans. The bank also runs an investment/treasury book (government securities and other instruments) and earns fee-based other banking income alongside core interest income.
