Star Health and Allied Insurance is India's first standalone health insurer (SAHI), underwriting retail health, group health, personal accident, and domestic/overseas travel insurance for individuals, families and corporate/SME customers. It distributes primarily through its own agency force, bancassurance tie-ups, brokers, corporate agents and digital (app/D2C) channels rather than relying on any single route to market. Claims are processed through a large network of agreed/cashless hospitals spanning metro, urban, semi-urban and rural India, supported by an in-house digital claims platform.
