Sundaram Finance Holdings Limited is an exempted Core Investment Company (CIC) registered with the RBI that holds promoter and associate equity stakes in a portfolio of Sundaram/TVS group companies engaged in automotive-component manufacturing and distribution, including Brakes India, Turbo Energy, Axles India, Wheels India, Dunes Oman FZC, India Motor Parts & Accessories, Sundaram Dynacast, Transenergy and Sundaram Composite Structures, alongside minority holdings in TVS Holdings, Sundaram Clayton and Lucas-TVS. It earns chiefly through dividend income and its share of profits from these group investments rather than from any operating business of its own. The Company also owns two wholly-owned operating subsidiaries: Sundaram Business Services Limited, which provides outsourcing services to overseas clients predominantly in Australia, and Forge 2000 Private Limited, which manufactures forged components for the automotive industry.
