What SBFC Finance Limited does
SBFC Finance is a non-banking finance company that lends to India's self-employed proprietors, traders and micro-entrepreneurs, most of whom lack standard income documentation. Its core product is a secured MSME loan (ticket size Rs 5 lakh-30 lakh) collateralised against self-occupied residential or commercial property, underwritten using household-level cash-flow assessment, local relationship knowledge and a spouse/parent co-borrower on every loan. It also offers loans against gold jewellery for short-tenure liquidity needs. All loan origination is done in-house through its own branch network and feet-on-street team, supplemented by co-origination tie-ups with banks, rather than through third-party DSAs or brokers.
