What Avanti Feeds Limited does
Avanti Feeds manufactures scientifically formulated shrimp feed for aquaculture farmers and, through subsidiary Avanti Frozen Foods Pvt Ltd (AFFPL), processes and exports value-added shrimp products (raw, cooked and peeled/deveined formats) to the USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea, China, Canada and the Middle East. It also runs a hatchery that supplies disease-free shrimp post-larvae (seed) to farmers, operates four windmills in Karnataka that sell power to the Karnataka grid, and has recently diversified into fish feed for inland aquaculture and into pet food (cat food brand Avant Furst) leveraging its existing nutrition R&D and manufacturing base.
