ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited is a private-sector general (non-life) insurer that underwrites and sells a diversified portfolio of insurance products, including motor, health & personal accident, fire, marine, engineering, crop and liability covers. It earns premium income by underwriting these risks and distributes policies through a multi-channel network spanning branches, insurance brokers, corporate agents, individual agents (including Point of Sale agents) and its digital IL TakeCare app. The company was the first large-scale insurer in India to migrate its entire core IT systems to the cloud and uses AI-powered tools across sourcing, claims and customer service. It operates under IRDAI regulation (Registration No. 115) and is majority-owned by ICICI Bank.
